Required enclosures:

To apply for a degree you MUST submit a number of enclosures. If you do not submit the relevant enclosures, we are not able to evaluate your application and the process will be delayed. You are required to upload the following:

  • Copy of Bachelor’s diploma in English*
  • Copy of official grade transcript in English – stamped and signed by the university
  • Explanation of the grading scale used in Bachelor’s diploma and grade transcript
  • Documentation of English skills 
  • Letter of Attorney
  • Copy of passport or identification card – it must state your citizenship.

Application Steps

  1. Choose the programme you wish to apply for on our website and go to the Entry Requirements site. Then click on the “Application Form” link on the right-hand side. Please note that the application forms open on January 1st for the September intake and July 1st for the February intake.
  2. You are now on the FrontPage of the new application portal. If you have an existing WAYF (Where Are You From) login from a Danish University you should choose the button ‘Log in’. If you have a NEM-ID you should choose the button ‘Log in with Nem ID’. If you do not have either, you will first have to create a WAYF login.
  3. After pressing login, you need to choose your WAYF login type. If you have registered a user on your own, the WAYF provider is “Application Portal”.
  4. You are now inside the application portal.
  • Under the heading ‘Create application’ you will need to search for the programme by choosing University of Southern Denmark and master for your search criteria. Please be aware that you will now see a list of all our master programmes.
  • Please check that you have selected the correct study start date and that you have chosen a programme which is available in English, unless you meet our Danish language requirements.
  • Press “Move on to creation of application” to begin the application.
  1. Fill in the application form and upload relevant enclosures along the way. Please use the information in the Help section to guide you along the way.    Make sure to submit the application on the final page.
  2. When you submit your application you will receive a receipt. In the e-mail account that is connected to your WAYF login you will receive a notification, that you have a new message in the application portal. You will then have to login to the portal again to see the message.
  • Your application will be processed. You can follow the status of your application in the portal. If we request new enclosures from you or send you information about the application, you will receive an e-mail notification that there is a message for you in the Application Portal.*
  • To add priorities, please complete steps 4 and 5 again. When you submit, you will be asked to prioritize the programmes you have applied for. Please note that SDU only evaluates up to 3 priorities. Any priorities below 3 will be cancelled.

If you do not receive an e-mail receipt within an hour, please check your spam filter. If the e-mail has gone to the spam filter, please make sure to change the settings, so that you will receive future correspondence from us in connection with ýour application.

You can access the application portal at any time by using the link in your original e-mail. Otherwise, you can use access the portal from the link in the right hand-side.

*Please note that it is your responsibility to regularly log into the Application Portal to check for messages.
